Well the pain has returned in my bladder, dont know if it's an infection or something else going on. This will be the 4th time in less than 2 months. Every time I do a urinalysis the culture is negative. Doc redid it today and put me on macrobid just to cover in case it is infection so it wont spread to my hip. All my other labwork that I did last friday came back normal (cbc, thyroid, chem10, rf, liver) except for my ESR which was 45. could be that I haven't taken enbrel in 2 months since my first infection. Dont know why I would be having recurring infections if that is the problem, doc said he would do a full workup, ultrasound etc. once Im off the antibiotics. Ive been reading about interstitial cystitis my symptoms fit. I wish I could put an answer to all these little things happening like my hair thinning, acne, more fatigue. thyroid was normal, I just started using nioxin hope it works.

hope everyone is doing well. I have a date tonight with my hubby on the webcam I cant wait to see him!! I just bought a webcam and got my mom one too, take care

Hi Jen,

Have you tried taking cranberry capsules to help with bladder problems? My mom, sister and I are all prone to UTI's as well as just bladder "irritation" for lack of a better term. The brand we all like is GNC Herbal Plus Cranberry softgels. They are a little more expensive than the regular capsules but all three of us think they work better. I think drugstore.com carrires them. Over time, maybe it would help?? ....just a thought...

Hope you enjoyed your webcam date with you hubby :)

hey trisha, yeah Ive been taking cranberry capsules and also drinking the juice. I just got my last lab results and again for the fourth time no bacteria cultured, no sign of infection so something else I guess is going on. The odd thing though is that as soon as I started the macrobid again the pain went away, and my symptoms are exactly like a uti, the pain is identical and if it wasnt for the negative cultures I would definitly think it was a uti. Unless I have some weird problem with cultures cause the same thing happened when the said my implant was infected and the removed my hip and he said he could see a greenish slime covering the ball, but when the cultured it no bacteria grew at all. again. I think Im like Caroline on bacteria...LOL
