Hi all;

I'm just in a bit blue today. I went to the doctor last Friday for my rib and they took ex-rays and found one broken and probably pulled muscles. It is feeling better with some muscle relaxer but I guess all the medication for pain has left me a little blue. I cannot for the life of me figure how I did it but time will heal it.

We did have some great things happen to us this weekend though by getting a new stackable washer/dryer set and a newer refrigerator for 150.00. We spent the weekend putting them in and I cannot say how much easier my life will be to be able to do laundry at home and have a side by side that I don't have to bend over to get into.

Well, I just needed to ramble and share a minute with you all.

Smiles for your day, with love, Melt

Dearest melt,

There are many accounts of people breaking a rib and they just don't know

how it could have happened. So sorry that happened to you and now you

are in pain, or take the med to relieve the pain, and yes..it sometimes leaves

one "a bit blue."

Oh I am soooo happy to know you got a washer and dryer, and for a really

good deal to top it off! I remember years ago, when I had to go to the local

laundromat and do the laundry. Oh what a pain that was! Not the kind of pain

we all experience with the "dragon," but a different kind of "pain!" If you need

to go to a laundromat and do your laundry, you know what I mean...or not. Some

people kind of enjoy it I suppose. Not me!

I sincerely apologize for "mouthing" off in my last 2 e-mails . There are

circumstances going on in my life to the point that I think I have one nerve left,

and I think my brother's wife is going to destroy that one before this day turns

to night. My mother refuses to eat. There is talk of force feeding her. She has

a living will from when she had her hip replaced that will not allow for that. The

real problem here is that my brother has kept telling her that my sister and I put

her in the nursing home, and he is trying to get her back home. He is the only

one she wants to see. My sister-in-law told me this morning that they will maybe

be stopping here for a key to mom's place so they can get her one cat and take

it to the vet for its shots and then take it in to see mom. I told her I will go over and

open the door for them. Someone stole a tidy sum of cash and emptied the freezer

(which was stuffed) and as they were the only one's with a key to her place (which

they kept from 2 years ago ) it doesn't take a "rocket scientist" to figure this out.

The sister-in-law is just itching for a verbal beating...which I will let my sister do. lol.

Dennis & I have been feeding the 2 cats and cleaning the litter boxes......but this is

only temporary....blah blah blah...

Hugs, Tricia

Hi Patty,

Isn't it amazing how some large appliances add so much joy to a woman? It must be like a table saw to a man... :o) I've always thought I'd like a stackable washer/dryer but never have bought one. They seem smaller than the regular ones and we always seem to have so much laundry each day.

So sorry to read that you have a broken rib. They are SO painful. Jerry had a couple of bruised ones and he stood up most of the day and slept upright as much as he could also. I don't think there is anything that you can do for a broken one but wait it out. Do you have one of those chairs that lift you up and down? My auntie had one and she loved it. As a matter of fact, we did loan it to a friend that broke one of her ribs and she lived in it. Slept in it also.

My friend in Palm Springs told me yesterday that when she went outside, she smelled smoke. Are there forest fires around you again? We'll be home right after the Philly meet so we'll arrange a meeting, okay? :o)

Take it easy my friend. Let play with the washer/dryer for a while !
