Hello, I haven't posted in a long time, my son Isaiah is 8 and is bipolar and has aspberger's. He's been in pull ups b/c he will NOT poop on the toilet. For awhile we just took the pressure off to see if it would naturally happen. He has sensory issues so we knew it was going to take awhile. Then over the summer he started changing himself which we thought well maybe he'll get tired of that and start using the toilet. We always encourage him, but don't push too hard. We have to give him miralax regularly to keep him from becoming constipated b/c he withholds his stool. Well now he's getting angry when we tell him he needs to change himself. He doesn't want to be responsible for it and he will sit in it all day if we didn't make sure he gets changed. I'm SO ready for this to done. I don't know what to do! I am going to take him to the dr to make sure there aren't any physical problems preventing him from going on his own. Anyone have any tips, ideas, ? lol..Thanks, Mom to Isaiah,8 Asberger's and bipolar
