Guest guest
I know the summer is kind of late, but a great place to look would be during the school year. In GA there is a pathway called Teacher Education. The kids apprentice under real teachers and want to be teachers. The teacher at the high school who runs the program would know which ones want to work with special needs kids. Local Technical colleges also have Early Childhood Education classes. Universities and tech colleges are open in the summer and usually let you post on the boards if you are hiring. > > Subject: Re: babysitters??? > To: autism-georgia > Date: Sunday, June 15, 2008, 1:10 PM > Where are you located? > -------------- Original message ---------------------- > > > Hi. Guest guest
I have recently heard that Family Private Care LLC (- email fofga@...) www.peoplecaring4people.com is good and they are trained to work with children with ASD. You could also look up respite care in the parenttoparentofga.com resource directory. > > Hi. My son is 7 and we are looking for a babysitter 1-2 days a week for our son. He is easy but very busy! Guest guest
we use family private care and have for a over a year now. we are pleased with them. we did have to insist that they only send out those who would make a 3month minimum committment to us. at first, a new person was sent each time. they are able to bill your insurance if you have home healthcare coverage and a rx from your childs doc. for me, it very very nice to know that i can count on 2 nights a week to get a true nights sleep w/o worrying about my son escaping in the middle of the night for a walk as he likes to do. > > > > Hi. Guest guest
Do you know if medicaid would cover this?Subject: Re: babysitters???To: autism-georgia Date: Sunday, June 15, 2008, 8:42 PM we use family private care and have for a over a year now. we are pleased with them. we did have to insist that they only send out those who would make a 3month minimum committment to us. at first, a new person was sent each time. they are able to bill your insurance if you have home healthcare coverage and a rx from your childs doc. for me, it very very nice to know that i can count on 2 nights a week to get a true nights sleep w/o worrying about my son escaping in the middle of the night for a walk as he likes to do. > > > > Hi. Guest guest
depends on your child...medicaid pays for nursing care or at least did at one point. call family private care, they can answer most of your questions. the autism family support and respite funding covers it (up to your budgeted amount) and the NSE/MRWP waivers can also be budgeted to cover it. hope this helps > > & gt; & gt; > > & gt; & gt; Hi.
