Guest guest
Good afternoon all I am hoping that you will be able to help with thoughts please. I have a BioEnterics LAGB 10.cm band. My patient identification card that comes with the band says maximum fill 4cc. I know as the tube to the port gets filled with fluid as well they can get in extra. To date I have 5.1 mls in the band. My last fill taking me to 5.1 mls was the first time I got the " feeling " no hunger and it was fantastic. It has now gone and I am so hungry. I find it so hard to understand that I can have a stomach the size of a golf ball and put so much food in there and not feel full at all. Breakfast today I managed to eat 2 whole peaches, yoghurt, guardian cereal and was still bl****dy hungry. I am following all the rules, I noticed Bev said " no fluid for 1 hour after eating " and doing that. Drinking heaps of water between meals, having protien at lunch and dinner, heaps of veges etc. Yet the hunger got to meal and I sat down and ate 1 packet of girl guide biscuits...not the girl guides fault of course. I am worried, what happens if they can not put anymore fill in? How much more can they put into this band? Is there anything I can do to help with this? Any thoughts, advice etc would be very very appreciated, and I will try it. Thanks so much Cheryl in NZ
