Guest guest
Congratulations. I am always thrilled when someone actually gets their insurance to pay for anything. You deserve it as I have watched your plastics journey in Brazil and you were so willing to share your pictures with me. It actually gave me the courage to go ahead with the thigh lift procedures I had on January 20th. My insurance companies were not buying into any of it even with the appeals. I think I should have got a lawyer for the DS. My knee replacements were covered by insurance and the out of pocket cost was about $300 plus a percentage of the physical therapy post op. So far I have paid out of pocket the following: Airline flights (6 flights) Rental Cars: (3+) Motel costs DRMC: $23,000 (they refunded $4,400 when they found two carcinoid tumors) Dr. K and assistant:$2,000 plus he added additional fees when they found the tumors but part of it was picked up by the insurance Pre-Op Exam: $300 - $400 Program Fee: $2,000 TT and Brachioplasty: $15,000 Thigh Lifts: $6,000 Motel costs before and after TT and Thigh Lifts. Gas for check ups - 200 miles per trip (check up run from 10 to 25 per procedure depending on recovery) And it was worth every single penny. So what if my new house didn't get all the luxury upgrades we wanted. I am alive, I am mobile, I am happy, and while not skinny I am little and now those size 6 Caribbean Joe pants I bought last summer really fit better. Do I care that they run big for that designer? Heck, no. I didn't say I looked good in them as they are purely a vanity purchase. I still wear size 10 petite jeans which are loose but comfortable and size 8 pants for all the others. Thank God for stretch fabric and Gloria Vanderbilt jeans called stretch. I didn't do this surgery to be gorgeous I did it to be healthy and so when I turn 67 this month I won't be a gorgeous 67 year old but I will be a " normal " looking one. Oh, and guess what? I am wearing a belt now for the first time since 1972, and that is because my pants keep slipping down. Okay, this is way too wordy. Just know I am so happy for you. Wish you could come to Dr, Keshishian but to us you will always be a full fledged member of this board. Marla WA State

Guest guest
Jo, I definitely nap as needed. Feel like a baby at times ! I know it seems like a lot of loss for a revision. I do pray it keeps it up ! Ginger <>< > > Ginger > > That is darn good weightloss for a revision! YEA!!! > > For now...take that nap! You are in recovery mode and your body does need the rest.
