Guest guest
Anyone notice that since surgery they become more sensitive to heat and dehydration? Today we hosted Midsouth band festival and I was scheduled to work in the pizza booth from 3-6. Well, I sat in the heat for 2 hrs before the shift and worked about 1 1/2 hrs and got dizzy, started having abdominal cramps, and threw up followed by a severe bout of diarrhea(all in a public restroom!!) Anyway I composed myself and sat on the potty until I could stand without seeing white(does that make sense?) I called and he took me home. I was having chills and finally started feeling more like myself after 20 minutes in the car. But have slept all afternoon. I am thinking that I just got in the sun and overheated. Especially with the Abdominal cramps and vomiting, but does the diarrhea sound like heat exhaustion? I also pondered maybe a blood sugar issue but I had not eaten carbs prior to the shift and actually ate 1./2 a grilled chicken salad from chic- fil-a so I don't think that was it. So I am leaning toward heat as my culprit. Mel ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com
