Guest guest
We have DirectTV and DSL now, after switching from an exorbitant cable system that I was paying a fortune for just to watch tennis. We have fios at my office and that works great. With the DIrectTV, they put the dish under the overhang of the house so even in a blizzard, we haven't lost reception.I am not trying to sway anyone here--just share my own experience. I really don't watch TV, except for tennis. n Rollings, PhDNJ Licensed Psychologist #4686www.DrnRollings.com Until we have the courage to recognize cruelty for what it is--whether its victim is human or animal--we cannot expect things to be much better in this world... Carson =========================================== A good transporter system - all our oil worries would be gone!!!!! (I'm sure it runs on solar cells, right???) Just kidding. More serious (ever so slightly) - out in the boondocks we have to rely on satellite internet (no cell signals make it to the house here, too much geography) which costs a lot more and works not that impressively. Oh well, beats dial up. Guest guest
A long time ago, I phone them when this was happening and they had me take my remote and select some option on the tv about CHANGING TRANSPONDERS. I did as I was prompted to do. But they acknowledge that you need a CLEAR VIEW OF THE SOUTHERN SKY. That's the only bad part about sattelite. When it rains. Guest guest
  I know I'm coming in a little bit late with this but there are 44 messages on this subject about worm composting... I don't want to read them all, the question may have already been answered but let me ask again... Does anyone know some good sources either on line or at some real concrete store for Red Worms, the necessary trays and maybe the tumbling thing to separate the worms from their castings.... any heip would be nice... thanks    Subject: Re: worm composting To: " sproutpeople " <sproutpeople > Date: Thursday, March 17, 2011, 12:46 PM  Melody Maybe they can move your dish? Guest guest
,We are looking at Worm Factory. Can of Worms is another, but after doing a little homework, I like the Worm Factory. If you buy one of their kits, you can buy their worms, and perhaps buy the worms even if you don't buy a kit. There are various sources online to buy worms. There happens to be a worm farm right here in NJ. Why not google " Red Wrigglers " and your hometown to see what comes up.I never thought I would find something here in NJ. I have heard (and perhaps someone told me on this thread), that all worms are not created equal for worm Composting. We haven't bought anything yet. I hadn't actually asked for online resources but was interested in people's experiences. Hence the 44 messages. marionwho looked at rain barrels today n Rollings, PhDNJ Licensed Psychologist #4686www.DrnRollings.com Until we have the courage to recognize cruelty for what it is--whether its victim is human or animal--we cannot expect things to be much better in this world...
