hi angus,

my dad has been on exelon for almost 1 year, he has had a slow weight loss 20

lbs since he has been on it, yet he has a good appetitie, i keep snack basket

for him to munch from next to his bed for snacking from. your wife has lost alot

of weight i would try arricept again if i were in your shoes. good luck and

hugs sharon m

My dad has been on Exelon for maybe 8 months, but has not lost *any*

weight. In fact, he has gained probably 25-30 lbs. Of course, getting

regular meals and being mostly confined to a wheelchair have done much

of that, I'm sure.

Same here . My dad has been on Exelon for well over a year

now and has gained 25-30 pounds. I too have chalked it up to the

inactivity and regular meals. I am a little concerned about the

weight gain though. He was a little over weight to begin with.

donna,

i woried at first when dad gained wieght on exelon i too put it to eating

regular meals which he didnt do before we moved here. he didnt gain alot of

wieght anad the doc told me not to worry as there willl come a time when dad

wont eat and will need this extra to nourish his body when he starts his

decline, fyi, sharon m
