Welcome back! Say, that's great news about your mom, what an

incredible spirit she has! Her own home? My mom is in subsidized

seniors housing, an apartment building, and she is having a very busy

social life. Many friends, activities. I am almost old enough to move

in, myself, as the minimum age is only 55 yrs old. I recommend it.

Happy New Years to All!!

Hope the coming year will be great for all.

Ok Marta, you are right. Assisted living is sounding pretty good. 3

cooked meals a day. Getting the laundry done, room cleaned -- no more

chores, just live, love and laugh.

My dad is in assisted living and he was given the opportunity to live

with my son or me and he laughed--he is happy where he is because he is

catered to so much. I wanted him to move to the High Desert to be

closer to me and he refused. Said he might not get the pampering here

as he does there in Glendale.

WOW, wish my Dad lived closer to your Dad...maybe he could help my

Dad figure out how nice assisted living would be ! Good he enjoys it

so much. My Dad is more stable these days, but who knows for how

long and TG for home health care !

My dad would love to have someone to gossip with. However, now that he

has been pampered so much, he will only wear one hearing aid. Says if

anyone wants to speak to him they have to " Speak Up " , he hears men

better than women.

I am taking lessons-- " How To Become A Brat In Your 'Golden Years' "

Where does your Dad live?
