Doc put me on a low cholesterol diet but would love to know what dietary supplement you took to lower yours? Hi Kate, I take Phytomega for my cholesterol. It has omega-3 fatty acids and phytosterol. I take this with my meals twice a day. One bottle comes with 120 capsules (60) day supply and costs around $20.00. I found this product through Melaleuca. In addition I take their vitality pack and that gives me incredible energy. The vitality pack comes with a multi vitamin, calcium, Mela-Cell. The company even offers a challenge. Take it for three months and if you don't feel a difference, they give you your money back. Just send them back the empty bottles. I'm more than satisfied. It has worked for me. The only thing I do is watch my diet. I stay away from red meats and eat low cholesterol/low fat foods. Pasta and I have become great friends. Hopefully, in time the FDA will approve this supplement. I've not had any side effects. The vitamins are great especially the day after my MTX. I find that I am able to shake off the effects of the MTX much faster. The fatigue lifts very quickly. He already suffers with high blood pressure. Takes meds for it daily. Thanks for the info. I'm gonna call my local GNC to see if they carry it. Otherwise I will try and order it online.
