Developmemtal optometrists

Does anyone know of a developmental optometrist in the Atlanta area?

Blue Cross won't even list pediatric as a sub category so I'd have to

call hundreds of office to see if they're pediatric or if they

specialize in developmental optometry.

I just took my daughter to one in Marietta. He is part of the scottish rite

group and can be seen in atlanta. I can't remember the guy or group's name, but

you should be able to find info on their website.

I don't know any developmental optometrists by that title, but as part of the

diagnostic assessment process, we took Bobby to see Dr. Lipsky in

Newnan. He is a pediatric ophthalmologist with the Eye Group. His bio

I was pleased with him. He and his staff were definitely able to deal with a

seriously ticked-off two-year-old. By that point Bobby had seen tons of doctors

and nurses, so the sight of scrubs or white coats would send him immediately

into a major meltdown.

- mom to Bobby, age 4.5, dx " mild " autism at age 2, very sensory-seeking,

talking more and more every day, and can spell his name!

Other then talking to our son any special things we can to do to ease the "meltdowns". Our son still doesn't talk and it gets real stressful for him and us.
