Guest guest
Oh we WILL go to the conference, change in meds or not, only being hospitalized would keep us away, the nice part of the conferences is there are many rheumies there, including Hollys rheumie, so anything goes wrong it can be handled quickly. I can't wait to go, i really need a vacation!!!!! Luv and hugs, Aj

Guest guest
AJ, you and Holly are on my mind and my prayers are with you also. I live so close to San Diego but will be unable to meet with you when you come in the coming couple of weeks. We have company coming that weekend and I don't have a car to make it on a week day on my own. I will surely miss having you so close but not being able to get there to meet you both and but I hope you have a ton of fun and the weather is fine. Much love, ----- Original Message ----- From: ajaomom@...
Guest guest
Im sorry AJ,i sure hope its very teeny-weeny flare.Hope this doesnt ruin your plans to go see at that jra conference, hes up in the montana mountains takin pictures ohh what i life EH.Hopfully she will not have to go on the meds again, ill keep you and Holly in my thoughts,Take care. d.Canada Holly I am a little fearful in posting this message, what with all the med/people bashing going on, but I knew that most all of you save one, genuinely care for my daughter and would want to know what's going on with her. I have been worried about her somewhat this last month or so, as she has had some (read minor) joint activity going on, she is bruising more often (and deep), she isn't sleeping well, and she isn't eating very well. I took her to the doc today, she has lost 15 lbs since April, now that in and of itself is not a bad thing, as due to the many steroids she has been on in the past, we were having some trouble with her weight, my concern and also the doctors concern, is her nutrition, she isn't getting enough calories and or anything else to sustain her, and make her feel healthy. So he has asked me to put her on a juice supplement like pediasure to increase the nutrients and calories in her diet (2 to 3 times a day). He also did a urinalysis, and a slew of blood labs, checking for the reason she was bruising and other reasons. Thankfully all the clotting factors came back good, the 2 things he did find, is that her sed rate is slightly up (19), and her crit is down (33), her crit was 37 in June, and her sed rate was 7...........so we are now wondering if the dragon isn't working its way back in, after the nice hiatus we have had since being stills med free since Feb. So i guess what i am trying to say, in this now very wordy note, is keep her in your thoughts and prayers please. Guest guest
Hi A.J., Get our from under that desk and stand tall. You do what you think is right for Holly and that's the way it's going to be ! I bruise very easily also but I've always thought it ran in my family. My Auntie would get the same red marks that I get when I bump into something or the dog greets me so excitedly and digs her nails into my arms. Those darn red spots stay for sooooooooo long. I just returned from a doctor's visit and should have asked him about those marks but forgot. I shall definitely do that at my next appointment. I sure hope Holly stays well or as well as she is at the moment and the dragon doesn't come knocking at your door. Maybe she needs a mouse toy so that the dragon doesn't bother her or is it elephants that are afraid of mice? Are dragons afraid of anything? I wish you both a nice weekend and yes, Holly will be in my thoughts and prayers. Down, dragon, DOWN !!! Mi. Carmen
