Hey, Temera!

I've been wondering where you were. I'm sorry to hear that you are still

sick. Sounds like you have a solid plan to get back into working out, I

wish you much luck. Don't worry about not being able to post much, we'll

always be here whenever you check in. Anyway, good luck with your last

weeks in school and I hope you feel better soon!

Temera,

I hope you get to feeling better soon! Start back slowly and talk to your

doctor about your diet. Especially if you are having problems with your

thyroid. You wouldn't want to make a bad situation worse!!!!

Yes, I've done the points with WW and I really liked

it. The funny part was that when I first started, I

had such a hard time getting all the points in. I

started at the second to highest points. Since I made

goal, I haven't been to a meeting, so I don't know

exactly how the new system works. The points are the

same, but it's suppose to help you feel more

satisfied, according to the commercials.

Temera, I am sorry you have been feeling so bad! I hope the doctors figure

out what is going on soon and that it is not too serious. Go easy on the

workouts until you feel much better. Your body needs to get stronger first.

Thank you Janick, I get the 2 tests now, do you know how long before I hear

about results?? And ya know, I have felt guilty and gotten depressesed that I

again gained the weight back and have not been working out, but I am getting

over it, my body is tired and it is just not possible. I think I am more feeling

pressed for time as I go to Hawaii in June, and wanted to look better when I go,

Thanks again

Temera, the only thing I can tell you is take care of yourself and hang in

there!!! I don't think you have to start back at square one when coming back

into a workout. Think of it as picking it up where you left it off! We all get

periods where we can't work out for many reasons. The main thing is to NOT feel

guilty about it and get back into the groove ASAP. BTW, the test for thyroid

function is the same test whether you are under or overactive (it's called a TSH

level - aka thyroid stimulating hormone level). The test for Graves is to test

for antibodies against your thyroid (which is the most frequent cause of

overactive or underactive thyroid).

I am glad that you are feeling better. Keep eating in a healthy way. I

have struggled with my weight for years and will soon be going back on the

Atkins as it is the one way of eating that seems to work well for me. I

need to get through this week and then I can rest a bit. My work is over on

Thursday until September and I cannot tell you how much I still have to do

after having a week off not too long ago. I feel overwhelmed with things to

do (at mom's, here at home and at work) but I will plug along and the days

will pass and soon I will be able to rest. I think I can make it...I think

I can I think I can I think I can....

I wish you well. Sounds like that when you get overloaded with stress your

body breaks down as well. Funny how that works...

Take care of yourself so you can continue to take care of those that you

love and that love you. Your posts are very informative and interesting.

I am a supervisor in a daycare centre in a public school. We have schoolage

children ranging in age from 6 to 10. Grade 1 to 5. I work in the program

with the kids and also do ALL the admin. It is like having two jobs but it

is what I want to do...work with the children and make the money of a

supervisor...lately though there have been problems with certain parents and

it frustrates me to have a couple of them (who are real pains) join the

Board of Directors so they can change the policies for their own personal

reasons instead of what is best for the daycare. It has happened twice, and

both times after a LONG HAUL, the board did listen and decided to keep

policy the same...but it is wearing me out. I just wish they could feel

confident in me and trust me that I am already doing what is best for the

daycare, instead of having to have a committee to do a needs assessment or

do a formal survey or whatever the next thing will be. For six years I have

been able to run the daycare, and there is a HUGE waiting list (people are

on it for year 2009 when their child will then be in grade 1...and I have

done a fantastic job ( I KNOW I HAVE because I have seen other daycares and

the problems they've got) but I guess they don't always know what the role

of the Board of the Directors is, and what the role of the supervisor is.

We are going to have a workshop in the fall and hopefully this will lead to

them understanding that " programming " and things like it are MY area of

expertise and they should let me do what I do best. Oh well. I have the

summer to recouperate and become strong again for the fall. I hope. I would

love to hear about craft ideas for the kids as we are always looking for new

ideas.

I've been busy and haven't posted much.  When I do find something, I

post it, but since I lost my brother to Hep C, I don't research it

as much anymore.  However, I DID leave my webpage in place which has

lots of links I found...not all Hep C... I have the html in place so

I get medical news headlines, and have them about Hep C as well as

other diseases my family members have, and some general medical

info.  The link is www.ke5asu.com/links.html.  I am thinking about

REMOVING all the books I have listed, as NONE have sold.  By

removing the pictures of the book covers, the page would load A LOT

FASTER.

This is going to be our second Thanksgiving without , as last

Thanksgiving he was in the hospital.  The last time I saw him prior

to his going into a coma, he told me he was going to bring me out to

eat for all the help I gave him and the research I did for him.

Only it never came...He died December 11, 2009.  Looking back, I

don't know why we didn't try to get a day pass to bring him home for

Thanksgiving dinner, and have him back by whatever time.
