Hi Marla, I am SOOOO on my way to your house! I made the soup yesterday and

went for the gravy option too. I ate too much of it and was miserable for

about an hour. You have no idea how much I'd like to be there with you

watching it rain. I LOVE the rain. I should sell my house, pay the mortgage

off and move to Washington. But they would hate me as a transplant from

California. And, too, I'm such a prune picker (Now, WHY are Californians

known as prune pickers? I've never seen a prune tree in this state.)

The thigh lift didn't happen. It was supposed to be in early June but I fell

down a flight of stairs and did some hefty damage to my ribs. I could hardly

move until the middle of August. I'm going to make an appointment with Dr. K

to have the work done around Thanksgiving hopefully, or in December. The

huge wound did close but closed wrong so Doctor has to fix that problem,

too.

The tummy tuck was rougher than the DS in my experience. But that's because

they whack the hell out of the abdominal muscles and the muscles don't like

it. That was with worst of the 12-14 surgeries I've had. You'll breeze

through though. The first couple of days home were rough because I could

never remember how I got out of the recliner the last time I got up. That's

no joke. I would sit here thinking " how did I do that last time?? " Have

someone video tape it for you so you can play it and remember how to get out

of the recliner. LOL

Think of me when you're dunking that cornbread in the soup. And, I'll be

thinking of you, too, my friend.

Take care and thanks for the recipe. It is raining here all day and the

soup just sounded good.
