My sister and I go to every appointment with my dad and there has been

several question that we would like to ask him, but feel uncomfortable

asking

them in front of my dad.

Try faxing or emailing your questions before your visit. Make sure your

questions are short and to the point, Drs. these days don't have too much time

for the families. Too bad since noone knows the patient better. You could also

ask for some time alone with the dr. perhaps while your Dad is being prepared

for an examination, or otherwise kept occupied by a nurse or someone on his

staff.

if i have a quetion for the doc tht i dont want to ask infront of dad, but dad

would benefit from the answer i write it on a smal piece of paoper and attach it

to his chart for the doctor to see, if i dont want dad to hear i write it and

leave space for the doc to write an answer to me this works well for us, hugs
