Lois, does it help to tire him out with any physical activity? Does he swim or ride a bike? Does he like to go on walks? What kind of things calm him down?

Does JJ have any comfort foods? I use to spread garlic butter on hot dog buns and toast them for Karac. Many times I could ward off an attack by asking him if he wanted a garlic bun.

When Karac was going through withdrawal I would give him several hot epson salt baths a day; that really helped.

I understand what you are going through. During that time I think my mind was consumed with what can I do to help this situation; will it ever pass?

Pat,

JJ is VERY active. He can swim, skate, ride a bike and he can do ALL 3 in a row and NOT get tired. Its like he is on speed! He is endless energy. Its like an inner burning inside him that won't let him calm down. Lois

Lois, that is amazing that JJ has so much energy!! Do you are his dad have a lot of energy? Karac can do all those things, but he has begun to want to rest a little inbetween. Has JJ always had that much energy? Karac use to have energy like that, but I think the teen years have slowed him down. He still can tire out anyone who works with him.
