My son was doing so great on 1 tsp. cod liver oil per day, which we

had recently increased from 1/2 tsp. Our DAN said that since he was

doing so well, then to increase to 1 1/2 tsp. for 3 wks. and then go

back down. The first week or so, he did great. She had also

suggested we increase Carnitine to 500 mg. per day, which isn't too

much. Anyways, my son all of a sudden acted like he felt bad and

started randomly vomitting for several days off and on...very

different from a virus, which is constant and then over. He would

seem ok, then vomit, then didn't have an appetite, then ok. This

happened for like 5 days to my kid who NEVER gets sick. He either

had diarrhea, VERY light stools and then finally had a BM that was

very very light tan, almost beige and formed. I know white BM is a

very bad sign. Reading up on all of these symptoms, I kept running

into Hep A. Could this have been brought about by the high dose cod

liver oil?? Or does it sound like the cod liver oil at that dose was

too hard on the liver?

I took a one day total break from supplements and didn't give any

CLO for the last few days. Today I started everything back

at " normal " doses and he is happy, energetic, etc. Does CLO bring

about things like this? I am going to give Milk Thistle for the

liver, but am wondering if I should take him in. He isn't have any

symptoms anymore, but I just have access to my computer now after

being out of town and the thought of all of this is very scary to

me. Any advice??
