My mom also had the hernia, had it scoped and taken care of. Jo, the papaya pills are chewable with a very pleasing taste. I always have 1 or 2 bottles on hand. When I have an upset tummy, very rarely these days, I eat about 4 and I'm fine. Keep us posted Tammy.
