I'm having a grand time with my sprouting - sometimes I just take 3 or 4 different kinds of sprouts and make a salad of them. Sometimes I add sprouts to things like chicken salad or egg salad and eat as a salad. The taste is delish. I must get a backup for my fenugreek seeds! I use fenugreek in my (eastren Indian) sour cereal (a millet cereal) and I've just about used my hoard for sprouting! Pam Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest guest Posted February 10, 2011 Report Share Posted February 10, 2011 Hi Pam: Yes, I take a 2 quart mason jar and put two tablespoons of radish, fenugreek,and broccoli (might add some alfalfa if I have a mind to), and I do the soaking thing all day long (or all night long), and then, when they have germinated, I put these in my sprout garden. So when they are all ready, they are a lovely mix of all my seeds and they sprout nice and lovely and they smell wonderful and radishy and when I make a salad...well, let's just say I should have been doing this years ago. But who cares. I'm a sprouter and they taste just fine. I re-did my kitchen. I wanted one of the bookcases on the opposite side of the kitchen, near a window and near where I do my kitchen stuff. So I moved one of the bookcases and I added added some pretty fake plants on the top shelf (they look just like sprouts) so I had to put them on top. And I have my round green trays sitting on two of the shelves. Since this is near my sink, it makes life a whole lot easier when I rinse and drain. I wish I could make a video but my FLIP camcorder died and I'm sending it back and they will replace it.
