,

Two easy recipes, if tomatoes don't bother you. I have used this

one for years and it is high in protein and low in fat. 4 or 5

chicken breasts and 2 or so jars of your favorite salsa on top. cook

6 hours or so on slow. Eat with rice or noodles it is spectacular or

just like it is. I use porkchops with a can of mushroom and a can of

celery soup cover cook 6 or so hours it comes out like a gravy and

lowfat and also high in protein. Sorry so long I heard crockpot I use

mine all the time 4 kids.

Thank you for your replies. Tonight I am cooking meatloaf. Once

before I tried to cook meatloaf in the oven and Ricky wouldn't touch

it because he told me it looked like dog food. Since cooking is like

Greek to me I didn't realize that when the gals at work told me to

put oatmeal, rice, and bread, in the meatloaf that I wasn't supposed

to put it all in. If you use rice, it's supposed to be cooked. I

didn't know it. And that you just use one of the things suggested.

The rice kept falling out of the meatloaf and when he tried to eat

it, the meatloaf was crunchy and hurt his teeth trying to chew.

Tonights meatloaf is being cooked in the crock pot and should be done

around 9. I started late, but its ok Ricky will try it. I used a

crockpot recipe

Pat2, I am going to try your recipe for the pork chops. I don't know

about the one with salsa as my stomach is sooo new. The other day I

tried smoked sausage and it just didn't like me.

, the only way I can cook these days is with a crock pot. My

cooking on the stove leaves alot to be desired.

Like I said, if Ricky can eat it, it must be OK.

Laurie,

I am not a great cook either, I Love recipes that have only 3 to 4

ingredients. and the porkchops were perfect you can eat them without

rice or noodles and they are still good. I hope you enjoy and if I

remember anymore I will send the recipes your way.

ROFL! Oh, Laurie! I'm sorry to laugh at you, but I'm picturing Ricky

trying to eat that and flinching every time he bites on the hard rice!

You painted a vivid picture, my friend!

There is a wonderful mailing list on Yahoo called

crockpot_recipes.yahoogroups.com. You can subscribe, then switch to digest and

you will get about one mailing a day with 10 to 20 recipes a day for your

Laurie,

Post-op--especially immediately post-op--the bread, rice and oatmeal

would have hurt me. Now, for me, meat loaf can have *LITTLE* bit of

bread crumbs from sprouted wheat bread...but that's all.

And, there's little or no protein in all those fillers, so I don't

need them taking up my valuable gastric real estate anyway.

Gimme my MEAT.
