Guest guest
Oh Melody I completely understand! I had soup for a late dinner and put handfuls of sprouts plus a dash of this and that and I was in sprout heaven. I also had a nice salad with it. That meal just made my day. I am soaking seeds for my Valentines Day menu and am happy as a clam. My sister who just started sprouting with the sprout garden wf gave her for Xmas told me a friend of hers is interested in sprouting so my sister is buying get a sprout garden. The gift that keeps giving! n Rollings, PhD NJ Licensed Psychologist #4686 www.DrnRollings.com Sent from my IPod Touch > My bubble has been burst. Guest guest
Dulse is seaweed, Melody, so I am surprised it has a lot of calories. The Japanese eat quite a lot of it. http://www.livestrong.com/thedailyplate/nutrition-calories/food/maine-coast-sea-\ vegetables/dulse/ more than carrots, less than kale. xo Pam > Okay, went to google, looked up Dulse and I was so confused, I can't tell you. Guest guest
I buy smoked and regular dulse by the pound from natural zing. Dulse is found on our coast as well as on the Irish coast. I like to snack on it right out of the bag >
Guest guest
I believe it is low in calories. n Rollings, PhD NJ Licensed Psychologist #4686 www.DrnRollings.com Sent from my IPod Touch > Okay, went to google, looked up Dulse and I was so confused, I can't tell you. Guest guest
I think Maine Coast Pulse is harvested in US oceans but I could be wrong. It is delicious - I eat it right out of the bag as a snack ... Great source of minerals and one of the best sources of iodine - good for the thyroid They have an apple wood smoked variety that would make a great bacon alternative- and it actually has very few calories - sort of A sea lettuce.... Guest guest
You can either sprinkle it on anything or I was told by someone at a health store that you can mix it with your sea salt; to get the iodine. Very healthy for you. Rochelle Re: OT: Alaska bugs Okay, went to google, looked up Dulse and I was so confused, I can't tell you. It seems to be seaweed from Ireland, right? Guest guest
That's the one I eat-it does remind me of bacon and it is not salty. Great stuff. Would go well on a sandwich with sprouts. n Rollings, PhD NJ Licensed Psychologist #4686 www.DrnRollings.com Sent from my IPod Touch > I think Maine Coast Pulse is harvested in US oceans but I could be wrong. Guest guest
Kareen, You will need to go to yahoogroups and manage your subscription. The list is not moderated. I would suggest you might want to change the delivery to no-mail, and that way you can read from the website, skipping the posts you don't want to read. The rest of us have no control over this, only you have control over it. http://www.yahoogroups.com Log in, go to my groups, find sproutpeople and go from there. Good luck!
