Guest guest
Hi 7 days post op.... and i'm searching for some clarity. When does it become possible to discern the difference between the various sensations in your abdomen: ie pain/discomfort due to general post op, pain from sipping too fast, discomfort from gas/bloating, and knowing when your pouch has ingested enough. I've had a few days now where i can't identify the source of my discomfort. Not sure if it's because there are multiple reasons (as above) or if it's all part of learning the 'new way of being' and the signals that i need to learn to respond to now. The discomfit isn't eased by lying down, sitting up or walking.... no change in my physical position seems to help. Perhaps it's all this sitting around 'resting'... All the signals seems blended together so that i can't identify cause/effect. I haven't had any pain relief since about Day 4, but just took a panadol to see if i felt better. Is the lump at the base of the throat a result of drinking too fast or a sign of 'full'? Any information appreciated.... Di
