Guest guest
As you all know, I am still on stage 2 mooshy food . I'm heading off the local Chinese for my friends 50th this evening and wandering about corn. I love Chinese chicken and corn soup, but it depends on individual restaurants and their recipes and how mooshy their corn is. Does corn go down ok??? Or should I stick to something like a clear soup? I was thinking of an omlette, but they have big chunks of stuff so I will give it a miss... I did have a little rice today with a bit of tuna mornay, and that seemed ok. I know its difficult to predict other peoples reactions to certain foods. Just wondered if there was anyone out there who ate out during their moosh stage and were able to help me with ideas. Mel
Guest guest
Mel, There aren't really that many things in a chinese restaurant that fall into the mushy category. When I was in that stage I picked things that were closest to mush and chewed as much as possible. Soup should be fine. If you think the corn bits are a bit big just leave them in the bowl. Some places will make you a plain omlete if you ask...just the egg and the sauce. Maybe the restaurant will have a steamed fish dish that you can mash up with the 'juice' it comes with. San Choy Bow is another option...without the lettuce of course. Its not a matter of reacting to certain foods. You're still healing and don't want your stomach to be churning too much to process the food. Rochelle > > As you all know, I am still on stage 2 mooshy food .
