Guest guest
Group, To those of you who have lost loved ones the last few days. My dad too is close to losing his battle as well. It is out of our hands and time will only tell from here on out. He may be small but he has been a tough little man. He has had double pneumonia and has been treated since after Thanksgiving. They did an x ray today to see if there is any changes for the third time. He is not taking food or very little and sometimes pockets what little we can give him. Liquid are small if at all or spills from the side of his mouth. He is now 88 lbs with protruding bones on his little body. He sleeps almost all the time now because he is so week. When his eyes are open they are glazed and blood shot. His liquid out take is small and infrequent. My dad is such an amazing man to have battled this for so many years and has had the strength for life that he would always bounce back. I don't know how many times I thought that we were in the final stages and he fought back. I don't think he has the strength to fight this time. I wish for you strength, peace and calmness in your hearts, as we have loved ones making that final walk home Debbie Curtis (Iowa)
