Kathy-

Please accept our heartfelt condolences in Rose's passing.

Our thoughts and prayers will remain with you.

-- Rose passed in November

Thank you to everyone who has ever been to this site. I gained so

much strength, support and empathy from this group that thanks just

doesn't seem like much.

After 4 weeks with hospice and a week long death watch, Rose passed

as I held her hand for her last breath on November 12, 2004. We are

so grateful that her suffering with LBD came to an end.

The trouble-making brother and sister-in-law have tried to make life

difficult and have failed. Fortunately, we heeded our instinct and

hired an off-duty police officer to be at calling hours. Money well

spent. We saved most mourners the wrath of a man and his family

that tried to " pay their respects " , to a woman that they should have

shown their respect for (rather than dispeciable acts) when she was

alive and especially as she deteriorated for the past year.

We did have an autopsy done to insure that Lewy Body Disease is the

designated cause of death. Still waiting for the results.

As I move on to taking care of my 90 year old grandmother and my 68

year old father, I will keep up with this board as much as

possible. I may just keep lurking awhile. He's been her only

caregiver for the last year and his health is anything but good. She

has stroke induced dementia from a stroke on 9/10/2001.

I apologize that it took so long for me to post her passing. She

wanted to spend the holidays with her pre-deceased husband, friend

and lover, who can fault her for that? As we have celebrated their

reunion, we also celebrate (with their blessings, I'm sure) the

return of a so-called normal life.

Best Wishes and Happy New Year 2005 to the LBD caregivers, the

angels on Earth.
