Guest guest
I don't even see the doc about getting a referal to a specialist until the 28th. I am frustrated because I found out about my positive test from the health dept. The docs office who did the test didn't even let me know. The nurse there said she thought I already knew it. Now, if they got the result, How the heck was I supposed to know without them telling me? ESP? Lyme Disease can explain a LOT of the problems you have been experiencing ! Sounds like lots of antibiotics. Have you been started on any yet ? Ginger <>< ... sorry I am so scarce lately, horrible schedule. **************A Good Credit Score is 700 or Above. Guest guest
They changed the appointment to Friday. So it will be tomorrow. The pain is increasing. I am wondering if the initial decrease is to do with the Pseudo tumor. Although my fluid levels were low, I am wondering if the cyst that was on my occipital region is causing it to be an abnormal result. The fact that things were so much better after the tap it too coincidental and the fact that it is increasing daily since Saturday. I am interested to see what the neuro says about the cyst as he didn't mention it at the appointment, but then he didn't have the radiology report and just his look at the films. Guess what? We might get some snow on Monday! It is funny because I was just saying you always want what you can't have. I love snow. I will let you know what they say when I get back. I also have a gyno appointment. Fun, fun, fun.......Guess I should go buy me some foo foo powder....LOL. Mel In a message dated 1/29/2009 8:51:29 A.M. Guest guest
Jo, LP results were negative for MS. He said that it didn't completely rule out that as a possibility but made it more unlikely. Increased the nerve pain medication but didn't give an explanation for the numbness or other problems. I will see him again in 3 weeks. I'm frustrated as hell about all of this because the symptoms are not symptoms of FM and I am left with no answers and worsening numbness. Guest guest
B12 was normal on last labs. The neuro also rechecked it. It is driving me crazy, I mean, You don't notice your hands normally, But mine are aching or feels like they are " tight " and I am constantly aware of them. i can't stand to wear my ring because the sensation makes it uncomfortable. It is nerve wracking to say the least. Thanks for the suggestion anyway. Mel In a message dated 2/1/2009 3:12:54 P.M. Guest guest
Mel " B12 was normal on last labs. The neuro also rechecked it. " I remember reading somewhere that " blood " levels of B vitamins could be normal but you could still be deficient on a cellular level. Sort of like our blood levels of Calcium can be normal but if we are running a high PTH it indicates the calcium is coming from our bones being robbed. An over simplified explaination...but...don't let the doctors give up " digging " for an answer. Hugs Jo
Guest guest
My blood levels of B12 are way high, but I take B12 shots anyway because I have neuropathy and it helps with the pain in my feet. My pain doc for my feet said that I don't have to worry about over dosing on B12, even though my labs say I am way over the average. I just know it makes the pain in my feet kind of bearable, that and the meds I take. I would never have believed it if it hadn't gotten to the point there was nothing else to try and I was just sitting and holding my feet crying all day. I had tried all the latest meds and they had asked me about trying the B12, I had resisted because I didn't see how a vitamin was going to make a difference with the pain I had, but it did. I go get shots whenever the pain starts getting more than I think it should. He said I can take them weekly if needed and it will not hurt me. For awhile I was taking them monthly. Now, as needed. If it is on a scheduled visit they don't cost me, if I just want to run in for a shot I don't even have to make an appointment, but they cost me $15.00. But worth every penny. I still have pain 24/7, but I am not sitting in my chair holding my feet crying all that time. So though your levels may be okay, maybe some extra B12 shots would help. You cannot over dose, so he tells me and you should see my labs. Pearl In a message dated 2/1/2009 10:20:06 P.M. Pacific Standard Time, moobabies@... writes: Mel " B12 was normal on last labs.
