Kerri,

When you are doing the speedbag, you want to relax your shoulders

down and keep your biceps and triceps tight. You want to kind of flex

your bicep muscle and that should also cause you to tighten your

triceps!

Also, a trick for holding your abs tight during the workout is to

count out loud! I've been doing this (thanks Phyll for the

reminder..lol) and it has really helped me to remember to concentrate

on keeping your abs tight during the workout! It also forces you to

breathe correctly during the workout!

I don't have any advice about the dizziness, but I hope that it gets

better for you :)

Anyone who has experience with unexplained

dizziness/unsteadiness (even after tests), please

e-mail me directly (kerriellen@...).

Kerri, is it related to eating/not eating at all? I know I get

hypoglycemic type symptoms if I don't eat for a long time or if I don't eat

correctly. I get light-headed, dizzy and nauseous.

Colleen,

Thanks for the suggestion, but it has been constant

for the past year (but getting worse). Hope things

are going well with you, your move, and breeding your

dogs :)

You may have already gotten several answers to this, as I'm not getting all

my email and I haven't checked the website. I have recently been having

problems with dizziness and it's due to an inner ear problem. I don't know

if it's allergies or what, but sometimes I can feel my ears stopping up.

Other times, I feel nothing out of the ordinary, except that I'm dizzy. I

have a prescription drug for the dizziness. The generic brand can be bought

over the counter. Let me know if you're interested in the name of it. It

cost about $9 at Wal-Mart.

Kerri,

Your equilibrium is regulated by your inner ear. When something is 'off' in

your inner ear, it makes you dizzy. The doctor couldn't find any infection

in my inner ear, but sometimes I can tell my ears are stopped up. He told me

that when you look into the ear, you can't really see into the inner ear so

unless there is pain, there is really no way to tell if there is a problem.

The drug I'm taking is called Meclizine. The recommended dosage is one

tablet, twice a day. It has no effect whatsoever on your inner ear. It just

stops the dizziness. I hope this helps.

,

Thanks for the info. The doctor prescribed

meclizine and that didn't help either. He reffered to

a neurologist.
