Guest guest
I buy ADEK pills at Costco and the price is $19.99. Just call in and order it a couple days ahead and it will be waiting for you when you get there. I buy Cal-Max off the Internet. I take one tablespoon at a time for a total of 600 mg's of calcium which the directions say to put in boiling water and it immediately turns into a clear liquid which I add to my protein drink each morning for breakfast. It also has Magnesium and Vitamin C added. I crush my ADEK pill and add it to the drink. Cal-Max and the Nector Protein Drink is expensive. When I was lamenting the fact to my husband he said, " But, aren't you worth it. " So from my perspective of being a 65 year old my reasoning as come to this. At what age will I consider myself worthy of such an extravagance? When I am 70 or 80 or 95? Heck, I am worth it now. I think the cost of the Cal-Max was $179.00 with shipping for 12 containers. The protein drink was $159 with free shipping for 5 or 6 gallons of protein powder. My rationalization for the drink is even though I don't " NEED " it I would never eat breakfast so this is my breakfast every morning. It lasts me for months and months and keeps be compliant and on task. This is not to say that this is the best option for everyone. There are lots of ways to take calcium and I also use Viactives and once in a while one of those huge pills that I hate so much to swallow. I showed Dr. Keshishian my Cal-Max and he said it was fine. I also take a lot of Vitamin D. Marla WA State ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com
