Guest guest
All: We are moving Holly to Baylor Institute of Rehab, Dallas, TX on Tuesday. I am going to participate in her rehab as much as I can so she can come home quicker. Pray for my safe journey to Baylor, 60 miles a day through Dallas traffic. UGH. She still has no feeling below her waist. This rehab is in the top five in the nation so if any place can get her dancing it will be here. I am dragging with me. Not sure he is taking al this in. Post Office delivered his Namenda to the wrong address and we couldn't find it. In the middle of all this he went without his Namenda for 2 days before I realized that we hadn't got it. Holly's ATTITUDE needs adjusting big time. IF you have a card and stamp I would appreciate any encouragement you could offer her. I think it would boaster her knowing that people are supporting her that she doesn't even know. Thank you in advance from those that need you in a different way today. Guest guest
, My aunt had Guillain-Barré syndrome which causes the body's immune system t= o attack parts of the peripheral nervous system. At one point she couldn't even blin= k her eyes. She spent several months at the Baylor Institute of Rehab, Dallas and they did = a wonderful job. She went in with very little movement and left using a walker. Today you wo= uld never know that she had ever been paralyzed. Nerves can take a long time to heal= .. It also takes a lot of work to get the muscles back in shape. It's amazing how quickly mu= scles atrophy. The therapy should keep her really busy. Hopefully, she won't have time to = think about what she has potentially lost. Tell Holly, she has a new job and that is ge= tting well. It may well be one of the hardest jobs she has ever had. A word of caution, the ph= ysical therapists are real task masters. Tears don't stop them, they keep pushing = because they know that's what it takes. It may be hard on you to watch then push her and= it could even keep her from trying harder if you are there. I'm not saying to not be ther= e, but you will have to work out the best times to be there for her. Good luck to you and Holly, in Dallas > All: > We are moving Holly to Baylor Institute of Rehab, Dallas, TX on Tuesday. = I > am going to participate in her rehab as much as I can so she can come hom= e > quicker. Guest guest
: I'll be sure to send prayers and a card for Holly. Please know you're both in my thoughts constantly. I'm now adding into the mix. I hadn't forgotten about him but I was concentrating on Holly and you who I knew was worried beyond belief. Here's hoping you'll all be dancing again ASAP. All my prayers and wishes for good things, Abby
