Guest guest
Bob, My Dad's been taking Darvocet for a few weeks for some pain due to a spinal problem. It gives him decent relief, but does sleep more if he's taking it regularly. So, we've been using it only once or twice a day over the last week, and he's not as sleepy or 'muddled'. Hope that helps. > Has anyone tried small doses of darvocet to help calm and sleep? > Seems to work pretty well with my mom. We use the Darvocet 50's and > it seems to really help. Guest guest
Darvocet is a rather strong pain medication. Guest guest
Darvocet is a combination of Darvon plus acetaminophen which is prescribed specifically for moderate pain. Darvocet is a controlled substance and should be monitored by the prescriber. > Has anyone tried small doses of darvocet to help calm and sleep? > Seems to work pretty well with my mom. Guest guest
It also has some potentail for causing dependance. I take it on occasion for Arthritis. It certainly does help with moderate pain and makes me a little sleepy or at least allows me to sleep better. I think it would do well to talk to your Mom's doctor to be certain to aviod any new problems.
