Guest guest
My mothers neighbor went to her primary care physician to get a referral to Dr. K. Her Doctor said something on the line of...You want to go to Delano to have surgery? Do you know what kind of Doctors go to Delano? Doctors that can't cut it at bigger hospitals. When I heard that, I told the neighbor...Oh really? When you go back ask your PCP how many patients come for other States and other countries especially for the Doctors in Bakersfield? Name ONE. It doesn't happen...but it DOES happen in Delano with Dr. K. I told her..Your PCP doesn't know what he's talking about. Dr. K 'Could' be operating in a major city/hospital. He chose to come to Delano because he had the opportunity to Establish " his " program, and he could 'work' with administration. Teaching Hospitals are a Pain to get anything accomplished in. Dr. K chose a rough road when he chose to do a surgery that wasn't considered main-stream...ya know, " The Gold Standard " . I really got tickled when I saw him speak at a Bariatric Convention in Bakersfield. He basically go up there and contradicted the earlier speakers. He did so with calm authority...lol. I feel better just sharing my Ticked off moment. Hugs Jo
