As long as I stay away from white flour, and some veggies, I have

control on the bloating.I had a Berri Emma which found the reason,

I had a redundant colon and had surgery..I watch what I eat

and don't get the bloating. I wish you luck. Are you on FB also?

We or should say there is a group of DS'ers on there that can

help you also. Alot of them just don't get on here anymore.

Good luck and Blessings,

Pat

Hi Joyce, would your surgeon be Dr. Devenney? I do know he has done the DS in the past, but I think I was told he doesn't do them anymore, or maybe someone else? I was considering him doing my DS for a split second thinking I could not afford Dr. K's $4,000 program fee. In the end, when I realized I would have to travel a bit more to Dr. Devenney, I just stayed with Dr. K and so glad I did! Good luck. When I went here in Manteca to see a surgeon about what I thought was a hernia, he was a bit rude to me and here my office had been doing his transcription (not by me, but my boss), and he told me that I have what is called a diastasis recti (what usually women who have had children get, a separation of the abdominal muscles). You have all seen that older women with big bulging bellys). I still need to get it fixed.

Dr.Z went in and removed about 2' of my colon. I was hurting,

bloating really bad and lots of gas. Would go poop, and no sooner

than getting up off the stool, I would have to go again.I still

go alot.I was having some pain in the right side.We decided to

go ahead and get this done before it got really bad.My DS was

10yrs ago..Like we lose weight on the outside and get floppy,

well our insides also lose the fat and now our colon is not held

up by anything so it might get a kink in it..Hope this helps

some.

Blessing,

Pat

couple of years ago, but it was never connected back to my DS (which I had 8

years ago).  What is the surgery and did you have any symptons that made them

do the surgery?  I'm very curious.

My tummy tuck was done at the same time as the hernia repair.

If I eat white anything I will bloat,no fun, it is wheat all

the way for me.It hurt, but you get that with any surgery.I

haven't had any problems since, except for some bloating when

I eat the wrong thing. Also sometimes when I poop, I will get

up and have to sit back down and go some more, so don't know

if I have a small kink or not..Not going to worry about it.

Just got my heart shocked back into rythem need oral surgery

to get a tooth pulled, and I want my other knee done..I am

still trying to get over a fall I had at Easter, just can't get

my body to doing what it is suppose to do.lol It will get better.

Blessings,

Pat
