Weight Loss in the Gluteofemoral Region

The mobilization of fat deposites in the lower body (gyniod) are

more difficult to mobilize. Alpha receptors inhibit fat transfer to

and from the adipocytes, and beta-receptors enhance these transfers.

Alpha receptors predominate in the lower body and beta-receptors

predominate in the upper body.

Therefore abdominal fat deposites are easily mobilized, therefore

it is possible to reduce fat accumulation in this area relatively

easily. The adipose tissue in the upper body in more unstable.

Under the influence of epinephrine (released from the adrenal

medulla), fat from the abdominal cells is easily mobilized and

dumped into the circulatory system. But abdominal fat cells are

bigger and larger fat cells tend to be associated with increased

risk of diabetes and hypertension.

Conversly, Glutealfemoral fat deposits are not easily mobilized,

and so it is not easily mobilized, and so it is not possible to

reduce fat accumulation in these areas easily. The potential for

reshaping the gluteofemoral fat pattern in extremely limited.

(exercise physiology for health fitness and performance)pg 368-369

The above are some excerpts from the before mentioned textbook. I

am hoping someone knows of some research to help combat the alpha

receptors associated with difficult fat loss in the gluteofemoral

region. It appears to be more difficult for women to lose that

lower body weight, But are there any ways to combat the lower body

weight loss difficulty and what ways are there to make lower body

weight loss more effective.

I did a seminar with Ayotte in Dublin, Ireland,

last November in a method that Poliquin

developed called biosignature modulation. I'd advise

you to check his website out www.charlespoliquin.net.

The high amounts of Alpha-2-receptors and high amounts

of estrogen levels make it difficult to lose body fat

in the Gluteofemoral Region. Yohimbe cream helps block

the Alpha-2-receptors as it is an alpha-2-antagonist.

This may help to reduce bodyfat in the Gluteofemoral

region. Reducing the amount of xeno-estrogens in food

and water by eating organic food and drinking filtered

water can help. If a person is taking the

contraceptive pill, the extra female hormones will

make it more difficult to lose bodyfat in this area as

well.

Hopefully this might be of help.
