Weight loss contradictions

Hello,

Like many people I am still trying to lose the weight around my lower

abs and lower back. I realise that using the internet for research

(on any subject) can yield vastly different results but I have a

couple of questions...

1) CARDIO DIRECTLY AFTER WEIGHTS

I have read that if you do cardio directly after weights you will

burn

more fat during your cardio. Sounds reasonable but I have also heard

that increasing muscle mass helps one to lose fat.

Personally i only do upper-body weights and my favourite cardio is

running. I thought that to get the benefits of a weight lifting

work-out one should aim to keep the blood around the used muscles to

increase muscle mass. If I do running straight after weights I would

lose this benefit...

there was another contadiction but I forget now :)

Also, I have been told you can make ommelettes with the egg white

only. I could try this myself and see but it just seems like such a

waste. Can you really gain sustenance from egg-white alone? There are

less calories and fat if the yolk is left out but eggs contain so

little calories anyway...

Thanks,
