Yoga - some mystical stretching thing where you breathe funny - NOT! A

few years ago I was introduced to Ashtanga Yoga. I had tried other

types but really didn't like them very well even though they helped me

feel better. Ashtanga or " Power " Yoga is much different; it bears no

resemblance to what I used to consider " Yoga " . For lack of a better

word, it's much more physical, with a greater strength element. You

move a lot more, develop a lot (and I mean a lot) of body heat which

helps one attain postures more easily. It has cured or alleviated

several small injuries from lifting and if I was more dedicated and

didn't wait until I was hurting; it might keep some of them from

happening. It's certainly a worthwhile addition to one's overall

health program.
