Guest guest
My Mom continues to be so confused. It's been several weeks now and she talks but it doesn't make a lot of sense. I've never seen her this bad for such a long period of time. The past two days I thought there was a little improvement, little being the key word. She is eating and drinking a bit more, but still has edema in her feet (taking 2 types of water pills) and is so out of it. We have a Dr's appointment this week, but I'm so worried about her condition. I don't know if her iron deficient anemia, low potassium and heart problems are the underlying cause of this or if this is the LBD acting up. It is so sudden, as I said, she was o.k. (still conversing, going to lunch, wanting to go places) and then this. I guess they think this is the disease progressing, but is there ANYTHING we can do to get her to a more stable place? I'm not sure why they haven't used Namenda or Exelon yet. She seems so fragile. She sometimes moans in her sleep and talks a lot. Wasn't doing that either until a few weeks ago. I reach out to this website, for any hope. I pray and hope we can get her more stable. Thanks for being there and listening. Judy
