Monday, Feb 8th

Hello group!

Checking in and what a surprise - sugar and no exercise. That pretty much sums it up!I even bought new walking shoes around the first of the year and I still haven't GONE FOR A WALK!!

I would love some accountability. I think I will walk to the post office even though it is only a couple of blocks.It is better than nothing. I think if I bring my shoes to work and walk before I go home it might work.... Once I get home I am distracted by all the other things and people I need to take care of other than myself. I think this is at the heart of the problem. We are all givers. We don't seem to think that we deserve a healthy life or the time to make that happen. I know this is why I got heavy in the first place. I only want to lose 20lbs. total. The amount I have gained over the last 8 years since surgery. I know how but just don't do it.

Going on a walk to p.o. I am going to the grocery store at lunch and being prepared with cottage cheese, cheese and turkey for PROTEIN. I am worth it. I do deserve to be healthy!

Who is with me?? Let's go ladies!

Jo - YOU ARE AWESOME. I love seeing your posts. You are incredible asset to this board, my life and to many other as well. Keep it up!

Keep going. You are on the right track.

I haven't kept track of proteins and carbs but I have upped the exercise. I went to the gym as usual during my lunch hour on Tues/thurs. After my workout I went on the (hated) eliptical machine. Punched in 5 minutes and started talking to the lady next to me who was on a tread mill. I DID IT! 5 minutes on the eliptical! YAHOOOO! I also made an appt. with the trainer for a session on Saturday at 10 AM - something I never do. Remembering that small changes over time will give me the desired results. I went to the grocery and bought: peanut butter, wheat crackers, provolone cheese, salami, sliced turkey, carrots, pears, three containers of cottage cheese, yogurt and a case of water. Lots of protein and snacks.

Had cucumbers and small amount of spaghetti with ground beef for dinner.

Still had a cup of coffee this AM. Giving it up will be tough. I have tried before. I just really like it.

I am ready for another day. Bring it on!
