Guest guest
One of the drugs listed on one of these links was lithium. I'd look long and hard at the side effect profile of that drug before putting a child on it. You have all of these elderly patients on long lists of prescriptions. Some of them have to decide whether to eat or take their meds. They tell you in pharmacy school even that probably at least 5 of those prescriptions are to counter the side effects of the previous 5 medications. Get a group of elderly people together and they will invariably start talking about 1) how expensive their meds are and 2) how bad they still feel. At least autism is no longer rare so the industry won't get the financial incentives from The Orphan Drug Act which was intended to encourage research and development of drugs for rare conditions that wouldn't be profitable. It's a business and they are in it to make money so don't kid yourself otherwise.
