Yea -- I miss it too.Where did everyone go?Can't believe that they all went to FacebookpatWhat happened? Why did you fall? What all did you injure? Sounds like a pretty serious fall. Will the dentist work with you on payments? I know caps and crowns are expensive -- real expensive.. When you get extractions, teeth will move eventually.Boy - you have done well on keeping your weight down. I have been more active now than ever -- my weight plateaued at 215 and thats it. However, I am happy that I no longer weight 316. LaurieSubject:

I really hate it that no one ever writes on here anymore.

I had a terrible April and May, but am on the mend now.

Fell Easter Sunday and it all went down hill from there.

I now feel 250% better, am in therapy 2 times a week.

Lost a cap on one of my teeth, and have to have an oral

surgeon take it out.[thats all my insurance will do]All

was great until my heart dr. said I couldn't go under a

local..What??? How am I going to get my other knee fixed

if I can't do that...Grrrrr call them and they changed

their mind, but now the surgeon is dragging his feet.

I will call Mon. and see just what they are taking their

time on this. The tooth is begining to throb..

Surgery ways I feel I am doing great..Got down to 170, and

have been as high as 194, but right now I am back to 178..

I am on a blood thinner so can't have green vegies or chocolate.

Now getting rid of the chocolate has been good for me, I think

that is why I have lost some weight..Miss my green beans..lol

Ok, enough said.Miss everyone on here, but see most on facebook.

Blessings,

Pat

I also miss the conversation on here.  I’ve never had a Facebook account – and don’t plan to get one. My weight stays down the 90 lbs I originally lost. My surgery was November 2006.  I’m coming up, then, on six years.  I think my quality of life has been improved 200%.  My son (36) has just been diagnosed with a mild diabetic condition.  I’m so worried about that for him – but so glad to know that I’ll never have that issue after having the surgery. Diabetes has killed every female in my family for at least three generations.  I hoped that  this son, along with my other two internationally-adopted children, would not have to face diabetes.  (He’s from the Philippines.) There are many post-surgical benefits beyond the increased flexibility, agility, and surviving the 100-degree Washington heat! I’ve been having some major dental work done lately – root canals and crowns are EXTREMELY expensive.  I remember buying a new car in the ‘70’s for what saving a single tooth costs now.  Luckily, my dentist is a family friend who allows me to pay on a payment schedule. Won't post on FB group, either. Too many conerns re: privacy.

So sorry to hear about your fall. I assume you fractured the tooth & , therefore, they can't save it. [Just finished a year long extraction, implant & crown]. You're lucky your ins. pays for some, at least -- but I'm sorry you're in pain.

Why can't you do a local? I can understand no general (with a heart issue) but no local?
