Guest guest
I have MS and I eat 25 mg Imuran (azathioprine) daily and 4mg Medrol (methylprednisolonum) every second day-i.e. quite small doses. My friend gave me couple of LDN 4.5 mg to try. Now eating for 2 evenings-It's ok for me, no sleeping problems+feeling well. I just doubt if it is OK to combine with the other drugs? I didn't stop because first I wanna try LDN before possible switching to it. I know Dr. Lawrence says: LDN cannot be used in company with steroids, beta interferon, methotrexate, azathioprine or mitozantrone or any other immune suppressant drug. But on http://low dose naltrexone.org FAQ they are less strict: Can LDN be taken along with any of the standard medications for multiple sclerosis? It can, and many people with MS do this. However, all of the standard MS drugs, with the probable exception of Copaxone, are immunosuppressant and thus tend to oppose the beneficial immune system upregulation induced by LDN. Therefore, many people with MS try to wean themselves away from these other medications when they find that they are doing well on LDN.
