How would you handle this situation?

I don't even want to send this because I am so embarrassed, but I don't know

how to handle this situation.

I picked up my kids today and on the way home, a mom flagged me down while

she was waiting for the bus to come drop off her kids. She said when her

nephew got off the bus yesterday he told her my son called him a skunk

because he's part black and part white. You guys, I am SO mortified! We don

t talk about skin color in our house, because my husband and I have taught

(or so I thought we did) that we all bleed red and it doesn't matter what a

person's skin color is. I don't know where he would get this idea to call

someone a skunk because of their parents! He swears up and down that he didn

t say it, but my daughter says she heard him. I don't know how to handle

this.
