Guest guest
My son is 9 and is high functioning autistic. With support from the Hall County School system he has thrived and overcome a lot of his lack of social skills and is basically at grade level with his other classmates. He goes 3o mins to a special ed classroom and 30 mins at the end of the day. He still does get some help from a parent pro in the regular classroom but is getting to the point where he's really doing a lot of his classwork and tests on his own. I am nervous because I along with my fiancee and my son and our other son are moving to e County in June, I have told him of the move and explained to him that this is a good thing and he's not very happy with it. Does anyone have any advice as to how to handle the situation so he won't regress in the beginning of the school year. Should I start looking for a therapist in Athens to help him cope with this big move?
