Guest guest Posted February 12, 2006 Report Share Posted February 12, 2006 Hi Ghyll Just had a thought about this conference date and wanted to mention that traditionally the long weekend in October coincides with the grand final of the football so hotels are chocker really quickly. I think that it is probably important to think about settling on a place in the next couple of months and making a booking. I'm happy to scout a couple of venue options for you if you could give me some more information. What pricing did you pay for rooms last year? Out of 250 people that attended, how many people would you estimate took rooms at the hotel? Were rooms shared or lots of singles? How was the conference room set up, ie tables so people could take notes and have a drink in front of them or set up theatre style with just rows of seats? If you could give me some direction as to your thoughts about this, I'll see what I can do to kick start this so you have something to work with.
