Guest guest
Hi Amy,I am not sure if you are talking about Integrated Listening Systems but the price of the "total focus" is about $1800 for 4 programs and that includes everything you need Programmed iPod, Amp, headphones, movement program and book, plus consultation as long as you need. I worked with a lady named Deirdre who is a coach. No additional charge if you use it for the whole family and you have it the rest of your life. They have less expensive programs if you buy units with less programs. The programs I have are are sensory motor, attention and concentration, reading and auditory processing, and 2 parts of a program called optimal performance. Think of my savings by not having to pay 4 co-pays a month for medication when I got my kiddo off meds because of Integrated Listening. I had to second and third mortgage my house to pay for my son with autism ABA program. To me this is a small price for all the benefit for my whole family.I would think you can claim it as a medical expense especially since they do it at OT offices etc. You might need a note from your doc. I used my husbands pre-tax saving plan for medical to help with the cost of the unit. Wishing you all the best, Re: The Listening Program/AutismPosted by: "amynrob2270" amynrob@... amynrob2270Thu Jun 16, 2011 3:11 pm (PDT)What was the cost of the program? Can you claim it as medical equipment on taxes? We have an autism exclusion in our insurance so money is very tight. Thanks,Amy********* 29:11*********"The only limits one has, are the limits one sets." Guest guest
Our Listening program was actually provided by our daughter's P.T., all we had to purchase was the high impedience headphones. This was 1996-1999. RhodaTo: autism-aspergers Sent: Thursday, June 16, 2011 4:40 PMSubject: Re: The Listening Program/Autism What was the cost of the program?
