Guest guest
I have a friend with thryroid cancer and had the thyroid removed last year. They thought the cancer was in lymph nodes recently and did a biopsy and came back benign thank goodness. I have been pushing her to start LDN ASAP. I told her I didn't think the meds she is taking would have any reaction with LDN. She is taking Paxil which I told her she could wean off that most likely on LDN. If I recall right, Paxil is a anti-depressant which I know aren't good for people. I have a brother in law hooked on zoloft and is not himself on them. Diovan I believe she told me she is taking but I didn't find out what that is for. May be thyroid meds. I'll find out if anything else. I know she has done iodine a couple times and her hair is falling out. No chemo etc has been done. She also is on disability and her insurance does not pay for meds so she has issues with that but I told her that 30 pills last 10 months so that isn't that much. She's just worried that the meds she takes will not agree with LDN. I've given her LDN info to print and take to her doctor. Also, she wonders if the biopsy is 100% b/c her biopsy of thyroid said not cancer and she had so much problems breathing they took the thyroid out and it was Cancer afterall so biopsies are not 100%. Scary.... Rhonda
Guest guest
I know of a woman who was dx'd with three forms of thyroid cancer. Began working with Dr. Abraham - not patient form but getting advice on supplements. She took the thyroid supporting nutrients and 50 mgs of Iodoral and her last FNA was benign. She is doing well with no surgery or RAI. I would NEVER to a thyroidectomy and RAI again. Where is this woman located? Guest guest
Hi , If you don't want surgery or RAI, do you really want a FNA? If taking Iodoral will shrink your nodules, it will show on US, yes? If you have a FNA and it is positive or inconclusive, your mainstream docs will be talking TT, RAI, for sure. I got tyhyca treatment by the doc saying "We think it's cancer" and I asked if he could check it with a needle? It was indeed cancer and I was resistant to treatment but did take RAI after the endo told me it could spread to my bones next. This was in 1982 before CTs USs, needle aspirations. In your shoes, I'd try to shrink it with Iodoral and Armour if you need that. Just my .02. 42 year thyca survivor >>> Anyway, I am concerned about the nodules growing and who knows if it's cancer or not till I get the FNA. I do NOT want surgery or radiation. I will not go back to the same endo., but eventually I will do the FNA just to find out.
Guest guest
Ralph Moss has some good articles on diagnostics on his website. FNA can cause problems in and of themselves. There is also some great material about diagnostics on Layna Berman’s web radio shows: http://www.yourownhealthandfitness.org/ Karima On 1/17/08 12:35 PM, " ladybugsandbees " <ladybugsandbees@...> wrote: I agree. Guest guest
Thank you , and Karima! I am not going to do anything but take Iodoral, armour and supplements for now. I believe that my nodules WILL shrink on their own and I won't "need" anything else.
