LDN for autoimmune thyroid disease

Have any of you used LDN for autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's

thyroiditis)? I've never seen any research about LDN and Hashi's - any

info would be appreciated!

I started taking it a few weeks ago for hypothyroidism--although mine

hasn't been diagnosed as Hashi's. But at this point, it's too soon to

tell any efficacy.

Hi ,

i started taking LDN 3mg. on July 16, 05 for severe CFIDS/FM

with severe cognitive problems , white matter disease and vaculitis

of the entire cerebral cortex. but i also have autoimmune Hashimotos

thyroiditis which was diagnosed years before i got sick. it does say

at the www.low dose naltrexone.org website that LND is used for

autoimmune disease. i did find out that my thyroid levels and my

Hemoglobin have both gone up, (good news for me) since i started

taking Pro-Boost 2 packets/day, 12 hrs apart since November 04.

there was no other change in my meds or supplements other than Pro-

Boost to account for it. in fact my CFIDS doc wants to decrease the

amount of Synthroid i take daily. its too early to tell if LDN is

helping the Hashimotos. i get the Pro-Boost @ www.beyond-a-

century.com for $48 for 30 packets, the best price i could find.
