Guest guest
The nurses on the " older person's ward " when my dad had pneumonia said something about this too. His confusion didn't go away, but he was finally able to settle down and sleep. So there does seem to be something to the full bladder and increased confusion/agitation. Guest guest
Yes, yes, yes and yes! Whenever mom seems agitated, nervous/anxious, or sweating we take her to the bathroom. Sometimes mom will sit in the chair for over 20 minutes but sure enough she has a BM or she urinates right away. Now that mom doesn't talk very much we also offer her something to drink and that seems to calm her as well.
