What about speed of movement? How would this affect the theories and

ideas being presented here on elbow flexion? Since MacConaill's

original studies and Basmaijin and several other have since published

work on the speed of movement increasing or decreasing the involvement

of elbow flexors ( the debated shunt and spurt muscle theory), maybe

this needs to be explored a bit. Most of the information on this

issue deals specifically with brachioradialis activation, so maybe

this point is moot, but if there's anything recent in the debate and

validity of Shunt and Spurt muscles, I'd love to read it.
