Guest guest
My patriotism is just fine. I carry enough metal in me from past patriotic exposure to last my lifetime. I am concerned about “precious supplements” because without them a whole lot more people are going to suffer. Isolationism will no longer work or I would be out there with brick and mortar at the border. You must unfortunately live within the world community and part of that is the ugly side of free trade. That will not be stopped. So, pick the battles. You will not win them all, no matter what you believe or how hard you wish for it. I will pick the battle over supplements because they are keeping me alive as well as tens of thousands of other people. If we loose them, most of the things being done as support along with LDN (which will not be affected at this time) will be history. Now, maybe you want to give up curcumin and feverfew and a few hundred more things that everyone on this list uses, I do not and I am betting most here do not want to either. But that is exactly what will happen. We have given up way to much to protect us from ourselves and I don’t want more freedom of choice being flushed down the drain, literally. If you are willing to trust your life and recovery to the medical profession, then fighting these battles is irrelevant for you. That is your choice. I was and am appealing to those who see a benefit to having the free choice of supplements at the dosage level they choose, not the government’s blessing or the AMA’s blessing on what I or you choose to take. That is what the battle is about. Free trade is here to stay. That will not go away. The battle for that was lost 15 years ago. I am not going to turn this group into a discussion on macro economics. The focus is on health and supplementation and we are loosing this fight. It may not matter to anyone other than a couple of people here, but by the grace of God, I will do what I can to keep what few freedoms I have left and that includes being able to pick and choose what I heal myself with and what you can use to heal yourself with, even if it matters not to you! Guest guest
Understand that most of that will go away or be so severely limited as to dose levels or by prescription that its effective use is history. Guest guest
Rae- Get off the soap box before you fall down! You don't know me, or have a clue about my patriotism. I regularly write my representatives (at least once a week) and call them about a NUMBER of issues, including taxes, educational issues, AND where our jobs are going. My question to you is: do you practice patriotism or hatriotism? You are so quick to jump on me and others who you barely know. May God bless you; sounds like you need all the help you can get! Guest guest
MY soap box? Maybe it's YOU and Bruce, etc, standing on soap box about foreign supplements? You're right: I wasn't making judgments about you; but a dig about the continual loss of jobs announced by employers here in Michigan heading their production south of the border, encouraged by the policies embraced by our government! [Politics is another issue -- better we focus here on the LDN listserv on LDN!] Amy is also the name I gave my only child. I have nothing against you personally. 'Hatriotism', you imply? Guest guest
I also agree with . I worked in 6ttthe auto industry f or almost 20 years before II retired. It iuis ture that we/they can get parts made in Mexico a “LOTS “ cheaoer but I was astonached when I went to work in the auto industry by e wages thrt were affoeded to me, plus the benefits. Full Health, Denial, Eye Glass , retirement, Stock Plan, Hearing Aide, plus Save on the average of bout 8 to 0m thounstain dollors per vehicle, in fact now that car sales re down I can/could buy a brand new vehicle every six months , sell it/ them and turn around and buy 4 more, and pocket the profit. What ‘m trying to say here is that Iin this country everybody sure make plenty iiof money in wages. I had less then a High School ED,.dropped out near the end of my final year, and ended up as a Mqanuacturing Engineer., making over $65K/ year; now you must remember that was in 1993 dollars..
